SoftBank, a Japanese Investment bank, has launched a new bank card with blockchain technology. The card comes with all the functions of a debit card including a blockchain wallet.
The Tokyo based company issued a prepaid visa card with an inbuilt blockchain wallet. The company called it an SBC card which includes a hot wallet as well as a cold wallet. A user will not have to wait for the block confirmation and they can redeem their assets quickly.
According to the company, customers can change between cryptocurrency and fiat currency with a click of a button on the application.
In the press release, Softbank said it is creating a “Future of payment integration.”
The company also stated the card built if far ahead that the cards in the market.
SoftBank is working with blockchain and cryptocurrency companies from all around the world. The Japanese investment company, in April this year invested $1 billion into WireCard, a German payment company.
